Third grader Luke S. from Ledgemont Elementary, with principal Mrs. Timmons, received the Outstanding Third Grader Award.  He was chosen by his teacher and received 4 literary books with an award.

East Geauga Kiwanis recently recognized 3rd graders from Burton Elementary.  Each of these students were chosen by their teacher as being an Outstanding 3rd Grader.  Each student received a certificate and 4 literature books from the club.

The East Geauga Kiwanis Club gave recognition to 3rd graders from Cardinal Intermediate School for being outstanding 3rd graders as chosen by their teachers.  Each student chosen received a certificate and 4 literature books from the club.  Congratulations students!

Third Grade Book Giveaway

Third graders were surprised with a new book to take home during the Kiwanis Book Giveaway.  Giveaway events were held at Cardinal Intermediate, Ledgemont Elementary and Burton Elementary schools. Each event was joyful, filled with laughter, excitement and fun, all centered around reading.

Annual STUFF the BUS Campaign - 11/26/2016

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to donate a toy or give cash for the purchase of a toy.  While the weather was not cooperative, we still collected an incredible $500 along with many wonderful toys.  All of the items were delivered to Geauga Family Jobs and Services.  Many children will be smiling just a little bigger thanks to the generosity of all of you.

Project Success!!

We wanted to give everyone who donated to our project to provide Christmas packages to 80 soldiers an idea of what is going in the individual boxes. The value of the boxes is over $100 each.  We are so excited that due to the amazing generosity of family and friends these boxes are the best we've ever sent out!!  Besides the 80 individual boxes, we estimate we will ship out another 15 boxes filled with more warm socks,coffee, foot powder, sunscreen and treats. The evening will include live music with dinner, video presentation,informational speakers, silent auction and live auction.

Hors d’Oeuvres start at 6pm to 6:45pm networking and looking at silent auction items. Short 5 minute video presentation. Dinner served at 7pm


Beef Tenderloin - Seasoned and roasted to perfection with a light demi-glaze
Maple Glazed Salmon - Center cut North Atlantic salmon marinated then grilled and glazed with our maple syrup
Side dishes - Rice Pilaf, Parsley redskin potatoes, Capri blended vegetables
Served buffet style with plated tossed salad, dinner roll & butter

Muscles Put to Service - 10/09/2016

East Geauga Kiwanis members hauled three truck loads of inventory from the Sheriffs garage to the "Sunshine Shop" at the Geauga County Fairgrounds. The shop must vacate the Fairgrounds yearly, shelving and all, to make room for the domestic displays.
